Fun unboxing video

As we sit at our keyboards and go about our day working with tech it is easy to lose site of the fact that we are just one of millions or billions of people in this world. Some of use are good at some things, some of us are great at other things but I am pretty sure there are a lot of us that are below average at a lot of things. I have always been very impressed by the courage that many folks show but trying those things they are not so good at. In many cases, if they continue to work at that activity, they get better and better.

Today, I watched an unboxing video from Commander X16 community member Dr J. The video itself is pretty rough around the edges but again, this is the very first time he has tried anything like this. He went out and purchased a camera, lights, and camera mounting equipment to make the video. We even get to ride along with him on his journey to put together this unboxing video. There are some bumps along the way when his camera slowly shifts in its mount and eventually falls out but he gets through it. Not only does he get through it, he has put together an incredbily informative video. If you have ordered a Commander X16 dev kit and are wondering what to expect when you receive it, the answers are likely in this video.

Will Dr J be making more videos like this in the future? I don’t know but I hope so. He did buy all that cool equipment and he does have great information to share. There are a lot of good books and videos out there that can help him produce some cleaner videos and it would be nice to see him take advantage of those. Either way, I am inspired by him to try some things that I am not so good at. To push the limits of my knowledge and experience and comfort. Part of this will be learning how to program the Commander X16 and I will be watching Dr J’s X16 Game Devlog to get me started! Thank you for the great content Dr J!
